XTR RT-MT900 Centerlock Disc Rotor designed to cool your braking system on long and challenging descents quickly dissipates heat providing more consistent braking performance in extreme conditions as well as extending pad life and reducing brake wear. These rotors are optimized for the XTR M9100 and M9120 brakes and feature a new design which improves cooling and reduces weight compared to the previous version of the XTR rotor RT-99.

These rotors use Shimano's Ice Technologies Freeza design have a three-layer construction consisting of two steel braking surfaces located above the aluminum core. This allows Shimano to take advantage of the high thermal conductivity of aluminum whereas most companies simply use steel rotors. And thanks to new heat-dissipating paint on the exposed parts of the aluminum layer, the surface temperature of RT-MT900 rotors is reduced by 20 degrees Celsius compared to previous XTR RT-99 rotors. Sizes 140 and 160 mm are optimized for cross-country use and focus on weight reduction while the 180mm and 203mm rotors are designed for aggressive trails and enduro with an emphasis on efficient cooling.
