Subwoofer Klipsch Reference R-100SW, 1 x 10", 300 W, black

The Klipsch R-100SW subwoofer is relatively small in size and fits well in most standard rooms. The device is made of MDF housing with deep internal damping reinforced with ties to dampen vibrations. The exterior finish of the Klipsch R-100SW is dense scratch-resistant textured film in a natural wood look.

The subwoofer is equipped with a 10-inch diameter woofer which uses an injection molded graphite (IMG) diffuser. This high-tech material has advantages over paper or polymers traditionally used for the manufacture of woofer cones in terms of stiffness and weight ratio. The IMG diaphragm can move quickly with a large amplitude without bending or resonance due to which the woofer produces high sound pressure. The woofer is mounted on a cast basket and equipped with a powerful magnet. The diffuser is coated with copper plating which additionally dampens unwanted resonances and also gives the subwoofer an attractive appearance and visual similarity to the rest of the Reference series acoustics. The bass reflex serves as the load for the speaker. the outlet of which is located on the rear panel.

The Klipsch R-100SW subwoofer has a custom amplifier operating in class D and developing a rated power of 150 W. Thanks to the precise matching of the woofer and the amplifier, the subwoofer is able to operate without distortion even at high volumes. To customize sound parameters, the Klipsch R-100SW provides a standard set of controls. These are signal level and filter frequency controls as well as an absolute phase switch (0/180 degrees). Klipsch R-100SW has a system that automatically turns on when an input signal appears which simplifies the use of the sub. To control the operating mode, there is an LED indicator on the front panel.
