The Squier Contemporary Stratocaster Special brings modern features and bold aesthetics to an iconic Fender platform to satisfy the most demanding and daring modern musicians. This guitar is powered by a set of Squier SQR Alnico single coil pickups. located in a "special" configuration with the middle pickup next to the bridge pickup for a unique variety of dynamic settings. The roasted maple neck was chosen for its optimal tone and stability. and the sculpted heel design provides improved access to the 22nd fret. High-performance components round out the feature list and include a 2-point tremolo bridge for superior feel when bending. plus a set of tuners with closed gears and split shafts for smooth tuning and easy retightening.
