DMM has several quickdraws designed for different climbing styles and the Shadow Quickdraw is the lightest model in the sport climbing category. Carbines are lighter than other quickdraws designed for sport climbing except they still have a stiffer nylon webbing easier to grab onto when you are trying to find important points. Carabiners also have locking spouts to prevent snagging on bolts and ropes.
