The SE Custom 24's mahogany body and maple top house two great-sounding PRS 85/15 "S" humbucker pickups.. Its three-piece maple neck has a wide, thin shape for very comfortable playability. and the rosewood fingerboard features classic PRS bird inlays. The headstock has been redesigned to now bear the signature of Paul Reed Smith adding an extra "cool" factor. This guitar is a true PRS through and through. and also represents excellent value. You don't have to be a rock star to enjoy the SE Custom 24.
Exceptional Components
The combination of mahogany body and maple top gives the SE Custom 24 the perfect balance. with a rich midrange and bright crispness (and the beautiful flame maple veneer helps make this a truly beautiful instrument). Add a pair of PRS-designed humbuckers at the bridge and neck positions and you will get a recipe for dense sustaining sound. Raise the tone control and you will have access to the ringing sounds of the singles similar to bells. And the SE Custom 24 maple neck has a wide, thin cutaway which makes it very fast and easy to play.

Upgrading Original PRS Humbuckers The 85/15 S are designed to sound amazing, no matter whether they are used in humbucker or single-coil modes. These SE humbuckers sound very similar to American versions of solid body electric guitars manufactured at the PRS plant in Maryland.
