Its poplar body with a distinct poplar burl top has a larger top horn which distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort. Graphite-reinforced maple neck-through with scarf joint creates excellent sustain, high-speed neck contour 12-16" radius laurel fingerboard and 24 frets for superior playability.

TheSBXP IVprovides a full sonic spectrum for even the most versatile and progressive bassists. Dual mid-output passive humbucking pickups provide a dynamic foundation with punch power and articulation of notes. Broad tonal commands come from a two-position toggle switch to separate the pickup coil three-band active equalizer three-position switch with adjustable frequency mix and volume control with push-pull selector to bypass or enable the active circuit for the 3-band equalizer. Push/pull switch eliminates the risk of audio loss due to a low battery. A quick press of the volume knob bypasses the active circuit making it easy to restore bass sound without using a battery.
