This SR model is an authentic reproduction of the famous American Master series of the late 80's and early 90's. So the team decided to include a short story naming this ax "Dale", after the other half of Glendale, California where Master Luthier was located at that time, Taka Hosono's shop, and this was the place where many of the originals were built. The Los Angeles-based team sought to capture the key characteristics and historical elements of this renowned line in the form of a top-notch, hand-built bass.. Like its American Master predecessors This bass is imbued with the same refinement and attention to detail. like any instrument from the legendary LA Custom Shop. In fact Some of the most unique elements of this bass are the smallest details such as the custom made wooden truss rod cover on the neck joint. The neck joint is made from the same wood as the neck block which gives it a smooth and seamless look. American Master SR4 uses vintage SR shape rather than the more rounded modern shape adding a nostalgic atmosphere to this exceptional bass. DYNAMICS IN DETAILS
