The ROG Ally console uses an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. Manufactured using the advanced 4nm process technology, this chip embodies the Zen 4 microarchitecture and includes an RDNA 3 graphics core. Upscaling technologies are supported (FidelityFX Super Resolution and Radeon Super Resolution), thanks to which the ROG Ally console is able to increase frame rates without compromising image quality. The device can operate in three user-selectable modes with different ratios of performance and power consumption: quiet (9 W), high-speed (15 W) and turbo mode (25 W when powered by battery and 30 W when powered from the mains).
If you have a really huge collection of games, ROG Ally makes it easy to add more space to install them. For this there is a microSD slot with a UHS-II interface. The most interesting thing is that the launch speed of games installed on the memory card will be comparable to the launch speed from a solid-state drive operating in PCIe 4 mode. 0.
ROG Ally allows you to play games and watch entertainment content for hours without worrying about recharging: battery life reaches 2 hours when running games and 6.8 hours when watching videos. The device supports fast charging - from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The console is equipped with a 7-inch touch screen with FHD resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for FreeSync Premium adaptive synchronization. Wide color gamut (100% sRGB) ensures that any content is represented exactly as the creators intended.
