The Perfect 10 years ago we approached our friends at Fender Custom Shop with a proposal: could they create guitars for us? combining the mojo of a true vintage reissue with modern tactile sensations and comfortable modern ergonomics? They were delighted with this idea and thus the Wildwood 10 was born. Thanks to the incredible craftsmanship and craftsmanship of the Custom Shop these guitars look great They sound amazing and play like butter. Each of these Custom Shop creations features a subtle '50s-style nitrocellulose finish which allows the resonant voice of hand-selected wood tones to shine through. They also have custom shop hand wound pickups that are sure to inspire you to reach new heights in your sonic journey. Wildwood 10s fit perfectly in the hands. Their modern 10" radius suits a wide range of styles and techniques , and their narrow-tall 6105 frets allow for less left-hand effort especially when bending strings. Sah-Weet Sixty-Twos By 1962, the Telecaster had become an essential tool for working musicians. Although nothing in the tone formula needed to be adjusted (hey, no need to fix it what's not broken, right?) Fender really wanted to give the Telecaster a more polished look. Enter Custom Telecaster a guitar that was essentially the time-tested Tele design dressed in evening attire. By adding surrounds to the top and back of a resonant ash or alder body Fender added a little extra elegance to the Tele's design for a small extra cost. Our Wildwood 10 1962 Custom Telecaster captures the sophisticated looks and classic tone of the sixties originals.
