One could say that the center channel is the most important part of any surround sound system. This is where the lion's share of dialogue in the film occurs. and this is where the central theme of the music in a multi-channel mix often arises. It's very important to do it right.

The Emit 25C does it right

It's essentially the Emit 30 turned on its side with mid/bass speakers located on both sides of the tweeter. The drivers are the same; crossover is the same with another box and port tuning. But this does not do a disservice; vice versa. It means that you get complete coherence between the center speaker and the two flanking speakers (be it Emit 10 20, 30 or even 50), as well as any other which you place around your listening position.

High-quality mid/bass speakers

The Emit 25C uses the same MSP 14cm woofers as in Emit 10 and Emit 30. MSP stands for magnesium silicate polymer.

This is the material which we developed decades ago and have since perfected for use in all of our most iconic speakers (including the Confidence Contour, Heritage Special and many others). MSP provides the perfect combination of lightness stiffness and damping to reproduce your material in full detail which the artist wants to hear. Each cone is made in one piece and has a built-in dust cover. The "balance ribs" you see in the center attached directly to the voice coil therefore the whole mechanism moves as a single unit providing incredible control and detail in sound.

The voice coils themselves are made of lightweight aluminum wire clad with a thin layer of copper. We used aluminum in the two-layer fiberglass frame because its weight does not interfere with the driver's movement. Copper layer means that it can use magnetic energy more efficiently generated by a double ferrite magnetic system. It increases flow energy for more power without sacrificing dynamism.

Highest performance

Emit 25C is equipped with a high-performance Cerotar tweeter , as well as all other Emit speakers as well as the award-winning Evoke family.

It is based on the famous Esotar Forty tweeter installed in our anniversary column Special Forty and equipped with innovative technology which reduces unwanted resonance and optimizes airflow. Same with Evoke , Confidence and Contour i (among others) he also has a secret innovation: Hexis. This is a small inner dome with dimples which reduces reflections from the back of the playing surface. You will hear its effect in the form of incredible detail: pleasant , smooth high frequencies that do not tire your ears – even during long listening periods.
