The original Silver Sky was developed in collaboration with John Mayer to enhance familiar guitar aesthetics with PRS Guitars' world-renowned innovation. This collaboration now extends to the SE range to create a more affordable Silver Sky version – with the same PRS quality ! SE Silver Sky has a lightweight poplar body equipped with three 635JM "S" pickups which provide all glass treble and rounded low end which you would expect from a classic three-coil configuration. While the original Silver Sky retained the original 7 , 25-inch radius of your inspiration SE Silver Sky maple/rosewood neck offers a slightly upgraded 8 5" radius that feels vintage but brings a dose of modern playability. Known that since its inception, PRS has been pushing the boundaries of guitar design. The SE Silver Sky's biggest departure from the standard model is the slightly modified 8 radius.5" compared to original radius 7 25" While most upgraded fingerboards have a 10-16" radius PRS decided to keep the radius mostly vintage but with a slight bend. It may seem like there's little difference but one riff on SE Silver Sky is enough to feel the difference! Slightly flattening the radius PRS managed to maintain that feeling that vintage guitar enthusiasts know and love while at the same time bringing some modern characteristics to the SE Silver Sky neck. Three nice-sounding single-coil pickups

If you're a fan of single-coil pickups you'll love the PRS SE Silver Sky. Its pickups combine the best elements of early 60s American electric guitars: a round and full tone with glass musical high frequencies who never dare to use an ice axe. Voiced harmonics produced by these pickups simply amazing. And when you put them in front of a tube amplifier You'll enjoy superb growls with outstanding note clarity. These pickups also have a few modern tricks: they exhibit a higher signal-to-noise ratio than vintage models and their intermediate sounds are equipped with noise reduction.
